Meet Dr. Waters
Nevin Waters, DDS
As a dentist, I get great satisfaction in providing the best possible care to each and every one of my patients. My goal is to treat them with the same level of care and respect that I would give to a family member. I love being part of a child’s first dental experience and value the amount of trust they give to me. Our adult patients become more like good friends over the years and I enjoy getting to know about their lives outside the office. I have been in practice in the Olathe area since 1975 and enjoy practicing in the community where I live.
I am a board member and founder of the Kansas Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped which provides free dental care for medically, physically, monetarily, and aged handicapped individuals. I am also a board member and dental director of Health Partnership Medical Clinic of Johnson County which provides free medical and dental care to people in need in Johnson County, Kansas. I have participated in medical mission trips sponsored by Grace United Methodist Church of Olathe, providing free medical and dental care to the village of Tochimizolco, Puebla, Mexico since 1985.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, am the past president of the Kansas Dental Association, and was honored as the Alumni of the Year through the UMKC Dental Alumni Association.
I am married to my wonderful wife of 44 years, Lois, and we have two beautiful, grown daughters, Lindsay and Shannon. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to practice with Lindsay and am proud of all her accomplishments in the dental field. We also have a lab/shepherd mix dog named Indie who wandered into our lives six months ago.
